Creature vs. Creature Writers Pool: Picks for the Showtime Southern 500

She’s the Lady in Black and her claim to fame is that she’s too tough to tame. Saturday night 43 of NASCAR’s best will try to be the one to do so, as they take the green flag on the Showtime Southern 500 at the Darlington Raceway in South Carolina. Over the years some of NASCAR’s best racing has occurred here. Ricky Craven and Kurt Busch recorded the closest finish in history back in 2003, and Kyle Busch all but knocked the wall down on his way to victory in 2008.
