Daytona 500: Big One Happens Early, Big Names Taken Out

The fourth caution of the day has just come out at Daytona, and it was for the big one. Just 30 laps into the race, David Reutimann was turned around by Michael Waltrip, and from then chaos ensued. Numerous drivers had nowhere to go and were forced into the mess. Among the victims were Marcos Ambrose, Greg Biffle, Jeff Gordon, and defending Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson. Brian Vickers, returning from blood clots that forced him to miss much of last season, also received major damage. Mark Martin was involved, but appeared to sustain minor damage compared to other drivers. Brian Keselowski, the Cinderella story of the week, sustained some minor damage.
