Formula 1: Radical Design Changes Announced for 2013

Formula one cars are set to undergo the most radical design changes since 1983 in an effort to make the sport more entertaining. The rules have been drawn up by engineers Patrick Head and Rory Byrne and should make cars harder to drive and hopefully increase overtaking. The new rules, to be introduced in 2013, will require cars to run with smaller front and rear wings and will also reduce fuel consumption by 35 percent. This will see a huge reduction in downforce created by the wings and lower the amount of time per lap the drivers will be able to spend at full throttle.
