IndyCar: Rain Rain Go Away—No Action at Speedway Today

Mother Nature once again affected practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway today.  Practice was canceled shortly after 1:00 PM due to rain in the Speedway area. A nagging low pressure front has been hanging around the Indianapolis area the last couple of days and ended practice short yesterday with just a total of 669 practice laps turned.  Luckily, this system moves out early tomorrow morning, and it looks like the stars of the Izod IndyCar Series will be able to hit the track for some practice action tomorrow through Wednesday with no interruption from mother nature.  Thursday-Sunday a chance of rain returns, but hopefully the weather cooperates for what should be an exciting qualifications weekend.Ed Carpenter turn...
