Jimmie Johnson's late-race gambit led him to an overtime victory in Sunday afternoon's Folds of Honor Quiktrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The trip to Victory Lane is the 76th of Johnson's career and ties him for seventh all time with the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. The win was the result of some gritty driving from Johnson and a gutsy call from his crew chief Chad Knaus. Knaus called his driver down pit road earlier than most of the field and with just under 50 laps to race, a risky move given Atlanta's notoriously rough racing surface that eats up tires, a move that allowed the 48 to cycle to a big lead over Kevin Harvick.
