After having to wait 24 hours for the Samsung Mobile 500 to go green, it was a race to remember. With exciting side-by-side action and a crazy finish, Texas left fans on the edge of their seats and ready for Talladega Superspeedway next weekend.
Hendrick Motorsports dominated the day like predicted, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. leading the early laps (46) en route to an eighth place finish. Jeff Gordon then dominated the second half of the race, with 124 laps led in the books but finished 31st, as Jimmie Johnson led 39 laps late to finish second.
Mark Martin didn't lead a lap but was able to squeak out a sixth place finish.
