Lewis Hamilton’s chances of success at Sunday’s Chinese Grand Prix have been hit with a significant setback, after it was confirmed he will face a five-place grid penalty. As reported by Andrew Benson of BBC Sport, the sanction comes after Mercedes decided to change Hamilton's gearbox ahead of the race. It's noted the equipment was damaged during the driver's last outing in Bahrain, and a five-place penalty is the standard punishment.
