Aric Almirola to Run Sprint Cup Series With Phoenix Racing

Aric Almirola announced Saturday at the Sprint Sound and Speed event held in Nashville, Tenn., that he'll be back in the Sprint Cup Series driving for Phoenix Racing in 2010. He's been negotiating with team owner James Finch; they'll run the entire schedule, regardless of sponsorship, and they won't be running as a "start and park" team. "Well, I talked with James about it," Almirola said. "I mean, his plan is to go full-time. Still working on a lot of things. At this point, when I got off the phone with him just the other day, it was we're going racing, and the rest will take care of itself.
