Nico Rosberg eased to victory in an intriguing season-opening Australian Grand Prix. The German controlled the race from early in the race to the finish, benefitting from team-mate and pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton's early retirement after power problems. His 25-second lead was rarely challenged. Behind Rosberg, Daniel Ricciardo delighted the home crowd with second place in his first race for Red Bull, while Kevin Magnussen in his debut Grand Prix took McLaren's first podium finish since the 2012 season.
