The 2015 British Grand Prix will be the ninth round of the Formula One season and the fifth European race of the year.  It will also mark a very special occasion—the 65th anniversary of the sport's birth. Way back in 1950, the circuit hosted the first ever race of the world championship era. The intervening years have seen the circuit and F1 itself change a lot, but there has always been a British Grand Prix, and Silverstone has never gone more than two years without being the host.
