Carl Edwards’ Outlook for Remainder of 2014 NASCAR Season After Win at Bristol

After a second straight season finishing outside of the top 10 in the Sprint Cup Series in 2013, Carl Edwards is off to a hot start with his first win of the 2014 season at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Bristol. After five hours of rain delays, Edwards was able to hold off Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Aric Almirola to get his first win of the 2014 season. The Bristol Motor Speedway Twitter account made the announcement that Edwards had won after NASCAR called the race after the caution lights went out with three laps to go.
