For the first time in 77 races, the NASCAR world got the chance to say "Hello Newman!" after he captured the checkered flag in the Subway Fit Fresh 600 Saturday night at Phoenix.
Newman took advantage of the late race green-and-white checkered and scooted past leader Jeff Gordon going into turn one.
The Stewart-Haas driver called it the most emotional win of his career, while another driver was just flat out emotional. Kyle Busch was well on his way to victory after leading 113 laps when the caution came out with four laps to go.
