Dan Wheldon Crash Video: Unfortunate Event Again Raises Eyes of Racing Risks

Tragedy has reminded us of why racing can be such a dangerous sport.Dan Wheldon perished yesterday in a 15-car pileup that saw his car catch on fire and fly up into the catch fence.Wheldon had to be airlifted out of the stadium, but was unable to survive his injuries.It was an extremely unfortunate event, and just another in a long line of motorsports deaths. The incident has once again reminded us as to why racing is the most dangerous sport in the world.It is very rare that someone dies on the football field, the soccer field, or in a hockey rink.
