Daytona 500: Kasey Kahne Wins Wednesday’s Second Practice

Kasey Kahne, in his one and only season driving for Red Bull Racing, turned the fastest lap in the second practice session at Daytona International Speedway. This session was the last chance for teams to log laps on the new surface before Thursday's Gatorade Duals. Only 32 teams participated in the second session of the day. The two most notable omissions from the practice session were Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Martin Truex Jr. They were involved in an accident in the first practice. Both teams spent the entire practice in the garage preparing their backup cars.
