Daytona 500 Video: Bizarre Crash Under Caution Results in Massive Fire

An unprecedented Daytona 500 just got a little more unprecedented. In the first Great American race to be run on a Monday, Juan Pablo Montoya lost control of his car in turn three. There is nothing odd about that. Cars were losing control all night as they adjusted to lower spoilers and the hybrid pack/two-man racing. What was odd about this was that it was under caution. And wouldn't you know it, that loss of control sent him hurtling toward a jet dryer on the track. In what was not a surprising result from the collision an explosion almost immediately ensued.
