Elliott Sadler, driver of the No. 19 Stanley Ford in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, had a busy weekend at Daytona.
Sadler first drove in the Truck Series race for Kevin Harvick, Inc. and then on Sunday, he took the wheel in the 52nd running of the Great American Race.
Sadler finished 20th in the Truck race after an early race accident. He was 15 laps down to race winner Timothy Peters.
Sadler did not fare much better in his Richard Petty Motorsports ride in the Daytona 500. After the twice-delayed race for hole repair in the track and the attempts at the green-white-checkered finish, Sadler ended up in the 24th finishing spot.
Yet, for Sadler, the checkered flag truly waved in the delivery room today with the birth of his son.
