Firestone Keeps Rolling: Contract with IndyCar Series Extended Through 2013

Firestone and the IZOD IndyCar series today announced an extension of their agreement through the 2013 season. This is fabulous news for the sport.Earlier this year, Firestone had announced that the 2011 season would be their last as the exclusive tire supplier for the series. The tire situation has been one of the many topics in this very busy offseason for the series. The driver and team changes were among the biggest and the schedule the next, but the tire issue was a bigger one than most people would think.
