Indy 500 Results 2014: Live Analysis, Standings and Highlights

Ryan Hunter-Reay became the first American since 2006 to take home the Indianapolis 500 title, and he did it in dramatic fashion.  Hunter-Reay battled back and forth with three-time champion Helio Castroneves for the final six laps of the race after the red flag was brought out following a crash on lap 190. Hunter-Reay made the winning pass on the penultimate lap, and he held off the final charge from Castroneves to capture the Borg-Warner Trophy.  The difference between the two racers was six-hundredths of a second, which was the second-closest finish in Indy 500 history.  Marco Andretti, who had a strong car all day, watched his teammate win the 98th edition of the historic race and ended up in third place.
