Mark Webber edged out team-mate Sebastian Vettel to start on pole at this weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix, per Sky Sports. The Australian has the chance to pick up his first win of the season in what is set to be his last in the sport. Vettel, meanwhile, can secure his fourth consecutive world title and, despite suffering from KERS issues in qualifying, remains in a good position to do so. If Vettel wins, Fernando Alonso must finish in the top eight if he is to extend his title challenge beyond this weekend’s race in Suzuka.
