Lewis Hamilton Wins 2014 BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award

Formula 1 superstar and 2014 World Champion Lewis Hamilton was voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year in a somewhat surprising result, edging golfer Rory McIlroy and long-distance runner Jo Pavey on Sunday night.    BBC Sport shared the result:The 29-year-old from Hertfordshire won his second world title in 2014 after a season-long battle with Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg.
