NASCAR at Chicagoland 2016: Live Results and Analysis from the T.M.N.T. 400

Martin Truex Jr. took advantage of a late-race caution to overcome a blown tire that forced him a lap down and win the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400 on Sunday afternoon at Chicagoland Speedway in the opening race of the 2016 Chase for the Sprint Cup. Truex led 32 laps on the day, most of them early in the race when he looked like the dominant car in the field, to capture his third checkered flag of the season. He automatically clinches a spot in the second round of the Chase with the win. Joey Logano finished second. Chase Elliott, who led 75 laps down the stretch and appeared heading to victory so long as the race remained under green, settled for a disappointing third-place finish after dropping a spot to Truex on pit road.
