NASCAR at Martinsville 2016: Live Results from the Goody’s Fast Relief 500

Jimmie Johnson is going to race for a record-tying seventh Sprint Cup Championship in three weeks at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Johnson captured the ninth checkered flag of his legendary career at Martinsville Speedway in Sunday afternoon's Goody's Fast Relief 500 to advance to the final round of the 2016 Chase for the Sprint Cup.  He led 92 laps on the tricky half-mile paper clip and outdueled the Joe Gibbs Racing trio of Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch. Brad Keselowski finished second. Hamlin, Kenseth and Busch rounded out the top-five finishers.  Jeff Gordon, who won this race last season and made what is likely his final start of the season and possibly the last of his career in place of the injured Dale Earnhardt Jr....
