NASCAR: David Reutimann Career at Crossroads but Relies on Faith for the Future

While covering the Sprint Cup race at Martinsville Speedway last weekend, I had the opportunity to interview Michael Waltrip Racing's David Reutimann while waiting out the rain for practice to begin on Saturday morning.At the age of 39, Reutimann scored his first career Cup-series win in May 2009 at the Coke 600—the first win for the MWR organization as well. However, the win came as a result a gamble that rain would shorten the event. Naysayers downplayed the significance of the win, as is often the case with rain-shortened wins.In 2010, Reutimann earned validation with a win at Chicagoland, out-running Jeff Gordon at the end to take the checkers.
