NASCAR Sprint Unlimited 2016: Live Results, Standings and Analysis

Denny Hamlin opened the 2016 NASCAR season with a victory in he 75-lap Sprint Unlimited at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday. Hamlin benefited from a risky fuel strategy, and 21 laps under caution, to come out on top in the overtime portion of the race. The driver of the No. 11 car clinched first place after an accident occurred on the final lap of the overtime segment.  Hamlin, who won his third Sprint Unlimited, traded the lead with Brad Keselowski throughout the race, but the No. 2 car was taken out of contention for the win after Carl Edwards rode up the track and crashed into Keselowski.  During the three-lap overtime segment, Hamlin, who went to pit road for fuel last on lap 22, outlasted Joey Logano's surge fr...
