Hoisting the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship Trophy has become somewhat routine for Jimmie Johnson. He won the Cup again for the fourth straight season. The NASCAR season began in early February with the Daytona 500. Johnson finished 31st in that race. Since then, he has had seven first place finishes. Johnson has also had 16 top five finishes and 24 top 10 finishes. The second-to-last race was held in Phoenix. In that race, Johnson finished first. He held the lead four times in that race for a total of 238 laps. The finish in Phoenix gave Johnson a 108-point lead going into the final race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
