Paul Menard Nation (Did Not Stutter) & Bristol: Legit Chase Contender, Not Today

Some could reason that Paul (freakin) Menard is akin to the New York Mets, but that would mean that he's outstanding through Indianapolis and falls down after. That's clearly never been the case. I would suggest that he's more like David Gilliland but a step up. Not that great, but if you put him in a great car, not that great can become okay. Paul Menard is okay, in a great car this season. Menard has spent most of his NASCAR Cup career as a perennial back-marker. Seeing him in your windshield always meant that either you're having the awesome race or there's just a really long green flag run. That's no longer the case. Even Tony Stewart knew who to push at the Daytona 500 for a top five. Its just too bad he forgot later that day. Qualify...
