Romain Grosjean’s Coming of Age: How Lotus’ Rough Diamond Shone at Suzuka

For the second Grand Prix in succession, another driver garnered more significant attention than the race-winning Sebastian Vettel. Romain Grosjean looked for much of the Japanese Grand Prix like he was a man well on his way to a first win in Formula One. Though he slipped to third at the flag the Lotus driver turned heads, more so than the two Red Bulls in front. That is all the more impressive given how Vettel rallied to his fifth straight win, recovering from third to make a two-stop strategy work to perfection.
