When GoDaddy.com announced Wednesday that the web-hosting company would not return as the predominant NASCAR Sprint Cup sponsor of Danica Patrick, it may have done the sport’s leading female competitor a favor. The expiration of the longtime relationship between the two at season’s end was common knowledge, so much so that it had become one of the season’s subplots.
