Thunder Is in the Forecast as the 2014 NASCAR Season Kicks off in Florida

They call it Preseason Thunder, and it’s NASCAR’s version of spring training. The five-day glorified autograph session beginning on Thursday (1/9) at the Daytona International Speedway also marks the unofficial start of the 2014 NASCAR season, and it throws the green flag on the hype for next month’s Daytona 500. It's also an excuse for diehard NASCAR fans from around the country to escape the harsh winter weather and make the pilgrimage to Florida to sit in the grandstands, drink beer and enjoy the beautiful Florida weather as they watch Sprint Cup cars make laps around the legendary 2.5-mile high-banked race track.
