Tony Kornheiser's mouth must still taste like toe jam. When he accused NASCAR of intentionally overlooking an illegally modified Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s car, based on some unknown source, and even admitted he was only 60 percent sure about this, Tony really kicked himself and sports journalism square in the lug nuts. Then again, didn't Dale get wrecked in practice, requiring a new car for the 500, and didn't it place him in the rear of the field? How does anyone go from the back to just outside the top 10 within a mere five laps? Either 30 cars really stink, or we have the first sign of a conspiracy.
