Indy Car Driver Mario Moraes Undergoes Head Surgery

Brazilian Indy Car driver Mario Moraes will undergo head surgery this week in Sao Paulo to have a cyst removed from an area near his ear canal. Moraes says the cyst was discovered after he underwent a battery of exams in the United States ahead of Monday's race in St. Petersburg. Moraes finished the race in 21st position on Monday, after the race was postponed from Sunday because of rain. He was involved in a crash with Dan Wheldon, who had an apparent mechanical problem and crashed into Moraes. The Brazilian driver said on his Twitter feed that "it was very hard to concentrate" on the race after finding out of his health problem.Read more Motorsports news on BleacherReport.com...
